When you enter the chalet, a "Welcome Basket" with snacks and a "S'mores Station Kit" to use with our indoor electric s'mores maker will be on the kitchen island.

Canyon Country Chalet is stocked with complimentary hot beverages (coffee/tea/hot chocolate/apple cider) for morning and evening gazing out the chalet windows or while you an enjoy a great book or game with family and friends. I love my coffee, so there are two different roasts and decaf, as well as creamers and sugar for those who like it sweet. There are at least six to eight different varieties of tea.

There are two living areas for relaxing and enjoying friends/family on the main and lower levels. On each of the three levels of the home you can find games or just sit back and relax on reclining leather sofas and chairs; plus, blankets for cuddling up in each living area.

The Orr Family purchased this home in August of 2021. We worked for a few months preparing it to be a vacation rental for us and other families to enjoy Duck Creek Village and nearby National Parks. Our whole family loves Duck Creek Village!
We started off with a management company; however, I transitioned summer of 2022 to directly hosting as I love being able to answer my guests questions, hear about their travel plans, and offer any tips that may help make their vacation even sweeter! We have created a digital guidebook for our guests upon booking, but we are happy to send it to you if you'd like to preview all the fun in the area and more about our home.
Our full-time home is in Northern California - about 1 hour north of San Francisco in the wine country of Sonoma County. We hope to retire to southern Utah in 2030. We became a home school family in the Fall of 2019. To help other homeschool families, we implemented a national parks unit study of the four closest national parks with books, games, learning activities should another family want to enjoy a week or more of learning and adventure at the chalet!
Our first goal was to create an amazing place to vacation that would have everything you need and provide several fun amenities for family and friends to enjoy. In our 2nd year of ownership, we look forward to answering all your questions directly, hearing how we can improve, assisting you in finding local resources, and making it a memorable and fabulous stay.

Katie has put together a beautiful property. It was extremely well furnished, with lots of things for kids to do, and all of the at-home comforts for adults. The Christmas decorations were so cute! She was super responsive and so nice to chat with. The property was clean and new, with lots to do in the area! We will stay here again, and I would recommend this place to everybody!

If you are thinking about booking this cabin, go ahead and book! Katie went above and beyond as a host and made sure we had everything we needed to spend thanksgiving on the mountain. The cabin was spotless when we arrived and was so well stocked with everything we could ever need. I highly recommend booking this cabin!

I couldn't give enough stars to this beautiful cabin and to Katie! She was so kind and helpful the whole time we were there always ready to answer questions and help! The cabin was a dream and exactly what I wanted for a family get together! It was perfect distance to Zion and many other beautiful sights. The cabin was organized beautifully + had so many amazing amenities!!! Would definitely stay here again!

"Wow!" was an oft used expression on this trip, starting with the opening of the front door to this beautiful cabin! Many more "wows" followed as we visited five National Parks/Monuments during our week long stay! The cabin was home base and central to all of the Parks. Of course the Parks themselves were stunningly beautiful and the scenery along the roads driving to the parks was breathtaking. We spotted lots of wildlife along the way like big horn sheep, lots of deer, "regular" sheep, bison, horses and more! The cabin itself was as nice as advertised. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there. It was well equipped with everything you would need including a Welcome basket with lots of goodies to munch on throughout the stay, lots of games for family fun in the evenings, and even a game room on the lower floor with pacman and galaga and other vintage games. Brian and Katie Orr were great hosts and provided much valuable information and recommendations of things to do in the area, places to eat, etc. We could not have asked for a better experience and highly recommend this cabin when visiting southern Utah!

I would give this home more stars if it was an option. Katie is super responsive and shared great suggestions. This home is perfect! From the kitchen with all the tools needed to cook your meal, to the quality of the linens and all the games to enjoy on the large table on the deck. Mattress made for amazing sleep for us all. I look forward to coming back to this amazing home.

This was our first time visiting Duck Creek. Our daughter was getting married in the campground area. The website photos for Canyon Country Chalet are 100% accurate. From the moment I booked this trip I felt like I was talking to a friend of the family.
Our host, Katie Orr is fabulous. Great preparation and communication. Every detail is laid out for you when it comes to the village, the home or outdoor activities. The Orr family put together an excellent guide book to help you on your Journey.
Thoughtfulness to call ahead and check store closing times since I messaged we were arriving later. Katie checked the Pizza restaurant closing time and other shops so we would be prepared. I mentioned fishing and she made sure the tackle box and fishing poles were ready to go incase we forgot something. We had a last minute lunch she messaged me to let me know where the serving bowls were. She went above and beyond to make this mother of the bride stress free.
The home was clean, interior design- beautiful, game room and basketball for my 10yr old son and a large deck with fireplace to sit at and enjoy family conversation or a good game of cards.
I can't wait for my family to return. I highly recommend the Orr Family and the Canyon Country Chalet for your next stay.

Nice quiet location near Duck Creek Village. The kitchen is very well equipped. The bathrooms were very clean. The seating and beds were comfortable. Nice big TVs with access to streaming services. Really great basement playroom with toys the kids enjoyed.

Home was nestled in a great part of Duck Creek. Amenities were endless and the home was perfect for two families to share. Everything you needed was provided and the communication with the property was impeccable. Will definitely book again if visiting the area.

The property is beautiful and perfect for families. They have outdoors seating to enjoy the outdoors. The kids really enjoyed the games and game room. The home was clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. We will definitely stay here next time we come!

We had such a great time here! The cabin was amazing. There was plenty of space for everyone. It had everything you could possibly need. From spare tooth brushes (which my son forgot) to a fully equipped kitchen. The surrounding area was beautiful and peaceful. Definitely one of the BEST places we have stayed in the Duck Creek/Brian Head area.
